OHSI Opens Lusaka Office


The Occupational Health and Safety Institute has opened a Lusaka Office, in Makeni, Bucklay Estates, Bonaventure Road. To cater for clients from Lusaka, Southern, Eastern and Central Provinces.

The opening of the office is in line with our vision to bring services closer to our clients. The Board and Management of Occupational Health and Safety Institute were prompted to open this office due to the increase in the incident rates of occupational diseases across the Industry in the country. High risk industry are, Agriculture, Construction, Quarrying, Mining, Transportation and Manufacturing.

The Government, is concerned with the well-being of the worker. A worker/employee spends most of his time in a work environment, where he/she is exposed to several hazards that can affect his health. It is at this point that an Employer should be aware of hazards affect employees and ensure that the employee undergoes routine medical surveillance.
